Michael O'Connor is one of the area's best guitarists, and he proves it on a regular basis by playing in two separate bands. He's the axe man for Ray Wylie Hubbard and Bret Graham, two of the finest artists Texas has to offer. Michael is an excellent vocalist as well and often fronts his own band.

            On his debut CD, "Green And Blue," he pulls out all the stops. Easily one of the strongest debut albums I've had the pleasure of hearing; there's literally something for everyone on this collection. Michael premiered some of the CD this week when he visited Mattson Rainer at the KNBT 92.1 FM studio. He did a fine acoustic version of the title track for the fans lucky enough to be listening.
